1. Invite-Only Community

The Roman Roast is an invite-only community. Registration requires a valid referral code from an existing member. By accepting an invitation, you agree to uphold our community standards and represent our community well.

2. Community Standards

As a member of The Roman Roast, you agree to:

• Be Charitable: Sharp wit and robust debate are encouraged, but not at the expense of basic charity. Attack ideas, not people.
• Stay Orthodox: This is a forum for faithful Catholics. Dissent from Church teaching is not tolerated.
• Respect Others: Personal attacks, harassment, doxxing, and threats are strictly forbidden.
• Keep It Clean: Profanity should be used sparingly and never gratuitously. No explicit content.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate information during registration
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post on The Roman Roast. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store your content as necessary to operate the service.

You may not post content that:

• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or malicious code
• Violates any applicable law
• Impersonates another person or entity

5. Moderation

Our moderators and administrators have the authority to:

• Remove content that violates these terms
• Issue warnings for minor infractions
• Temporarily or permanently ban users who repeatedly violate terms
• Make final decisions on content disputes

Moderation decisions are made in good faith to maintain community standards.

6. Privacy & Security

We take your privacy seriously:

• Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit
• Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
• We do not sell your personal information
• We only collect data necessary to operate the service

7. Service Availability

The Roman Roast is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• That defects will be corrected
• The accuracy of user-generated content

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
